St. Sebastian Parish School receives new technology | Akron.com

WEST AKRON — St. Sebastian Parish School has received funding from the Helen Barry Hamlin Library Fund of the St. Sebastian Parish Foundation to purchase several new technology items. These include BEAM audio devices, which are small, portable sound bars enabled with Bluetooth® technology. School officials stated the devices link with new audio enhancement XD microphones that each teacher wears on a lanyard.

Also purchased were HoverCam document cameras for each classroom to replace outdated cameras. As a lesson recorder, the HoverCams can record hundreds of hours that include picture-in-picture capability so teachers can show their faces while narrating a lesson, along with video images, websites, PowerPoint slides and…
